Africa Travel Resource (ATR), a UK company, arranged our safari trip with Tanganyika Expeditions (also known as MKSC, the Mount Kilimanjaro Safari Club).  ATR’s web site provided an awesome amount of information, which included many pictures of the camps and tents/rooms, as well as maps, seasonal prices and availability.

I feel it is good to give one’s business where one has benefited most.  The website, combined with excellent reviews, made my decision easy.

ATR provided an extremely detailed trip itinerary.  It included descriptions of national parks and animals we would hopefully see, miles traveled, vehicles chosen, and most importantly, the price of each item.  It was easy to choose between an all-land adventure, or a land-air adventure.  We chose the all-land because I figured that we would be more likely to see animals, people and life on the ground than in the air.  It didn’t take very many email exchanges to arrive at our final itinerary.

Tanganyika Expeditions, ATR’s partner in Tanzania, and our excellent guide Mweta, were not to be surpassed.   Their website showed us the vehicle we would be riding in.  A seasoned guide, Mweta was incomparable, knowledgeable, comfortable to travel with, and a lot of fun as well.
