I hope you enjoy my Czech Republic travel blog (even if you aren’t diabetic!) I offer tips for diabetic travel which can be valuable for people without diabetes as well. Safe and healthful travel is great for all of us!
We visited the Czech Republic in early October 2018 for five days – three days in Prague and two days in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the town of Cesky Krumlov.
We have since seen many TV shows that have used the Czech Republic as their backdrop and regret not having ventured out on our own to see the castles and countryside.
Definitely we will return.

Cesky Krumlov is a small town in the South Bohemia area of the Czech Republic. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its preservation of 14th to 17th century buildings. Most people visit it as a day trip out of Prague, however we stayed there for two nights,
Prague was our favorite city in our 33-day trip from Romania to Germany. The atmosphere in the town square, with its characters, living statues, BBQ, trdlenik and astronomical clock, was addictive.
Prague Castle was so interesting that it merits a video of its own! From St. Vitus Cathedral to St. George’s Basilica and the Golden Lane to a horrifying array of implements of war and torture, our cameras just kept on clicking.
In Prague we took a half-day “Communism and Nuclear Bunker” tour. It was just a glimpse of the 40 years of Communism rule. Related Links Here’s the link to the Prague Communism Tour website. We highly recommend the tour.
