The Mansion del Angel, Quito
I arranged our eight day cruise on a luxury yacht in the Galapagos Islands, plus a pre-cruise visit to Quito, Ecuador, using the tour company Adventure-Life. I had used this agency to arrange the adventure cruise to Antarctica in 2007, and they still offer a five percent discount to returning customers.
They arranged personal pickup with a driver and guide in Quito, the hotel in Quito, the return to the airport for the onward flight to the Galapagos, and the same on the trip back to Quito and onward to Boston. All of the transfers were flawless, hotels excellent and the guides informative. Even though I tend to prefer local agencies in order to feed the local economy, the discount and the excellent service means that I always consult the Adventure-Life website when first dreaming of a new adventure.
