I hope you enjoy my Australia travel blog (even if you aren’t diabetic!) I offer tips for diabetic travel which can be valuable for people without diabetes as well. Safe and healthy travel is great for all of us!
We visited Australia in the fall of 2019. Australia was a major milestone for Greg – his 6th continent; he’s lacking only Antarctica. I myself had visited Australia as a teenage, and Antarctica ten years ago, which means Greg can never over-take me. However, for both of us, the Great Barrier Reef represented a bucket-list item, and one to be experienced before bleaching events destroy it forever.
We also visited several interesting locations in Queensland on our way to and from our Great Barrier Reef adventures: Brisbane, the territory’s capital, Noosa Heads, Hervey Bay, Gladstone and Cairns. As I look back at the choices not made, and the destinations not chosen I long to return to Queensland.
As well, we want to see so many other areas of this magnificent country.
