We visited Portugal in Sept 2016 on a quick 9-day trip. We spent five of the nights in Lisbon, doing day trips out to Queluz, Sintra, Mafra, Nazarre, Obidos (and more I can’t remember!). We went on a four day / three night trip visit Historic Villages, including Idanha a Velha, Monsanto, Sortelha, Guarda and Evora. With my husband Greg, I have been on safari to Africa, wandered among the blue boobies in the Galapagos, slogged through jungle mud in Laos, and he has even chased an ocelot in Costa Rica (with his camera!) Our travel has taken careful planning, and constant attention to what is most important.
