We visited Egypt for two weeks in Nov 2022. We spent 4 days in Cairo (3 would have been sufficient!), 2 days in Luxor, 4 days on a dahabiya boat (great decision!), with a quick overnight to Abu Simbel, a night in Aswan and a final night at a Cairo airport hotel.

I am a type 1 diabetic, and have been for fifty-three years. From Antarctica to Svalbard, Australia to Africa, I’ve visited every continent. With my husband Greg, I have been on safari to Africa, wandered among the blue boobies in the Galapagos, slogged through jungle mud in Laos, and he has even chased an ocelot in Costa Rica (with his camera!) Our travel has taken careful planning, and constant attention to what is most important.
