A Diabetic Travel Blog
I hope you enjoy my Puerto Rico Travel Blog. I offer tips for diabetic travel, which can be valuable for people without diabetes as well. Safe and healthful travel is great for all of us!
We first visited Puerto Rico in December 2015, with a goal of checking it all out, dreaming of my retirement, thinking that we may want to buy a winter home there.
Why the interest when we have not previously visited? There are so many reasons a diabetic would choose Puerto Rico over other warm locations, but one big reason is the Water. Yes! the water is potable right out of the tap. No more stomach distress episodes! I can enjoy the salad!
We went around the entire island, from San Juan, to Luquillo, Fajardo, Yabucoa, Maunabo, Ponce, Guanica, Cabo Roca, Rincon, Isabela, Arecibo, Camuy and Caguas.
Then in 2018 we purchased a winter home in Isabela!

This past winter we regaled our friends and family with daily Facebook posts as we renovated and redecorated our new Puerto Rican beachfront penthouse apartment.
