We visited Hungary in October 2018, spending four nights in Budapest.
We came in by air from Sofia, Bulgaria, and headed out by train to Bratislava. We visited the city for three days, and then took a day trip out to Esztergom at the Danube Bend on the fourth.
We loved the trams – using them to get around in Pest quite a bit, especially the Heritage Tram #2 running along the side of the Danube River.

Arrival in Budapest On Sept 27, 2018, day 16 of our 33 day Eastern European adventure, we arrived in Deák Ferenc tér Budapest, on the 100E bus from the airport, just like clockwork. Laundry After checking into the hotel, we carried our laundry to Ó Utca 24. (Utca means “street”.)
