Our last monastery of the day was Humor Monastery, just north of Gura Humorului. I can definitely say that the monastery is NOT photogenic later in the afternoon.
While the weather continued to be superb, and the blue skies never waivered, the sun’s rays raked through the tall trees and cast shadows on the frescos:
The best views of the entire monastery were in shade:
You can tell, though, that the gardens were beautiful. Greg decided to climb the stairs of the gatehouse for a view.
Wendy chose to take a picture of him, since the monastery wasn’t photogenic.
It seems like this post is hardly worth publishing, so few words are written, however it does seem important to tell others that while the entire loop can be done in a day, perhaps leaving Humor to the following morning would give it the sunlight it deserves.
