A final tour around the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal (video)

After the inevitable flight delay from Pokhara to Kathmandu, we arrived back in the Kathmandu Valley to spend two more nights and finish off our Nepal sightseeing. While the clouds still hung on the mountains surrounding the valley, the sun shone overhead, and we were so happy our guide had delayed some sights to this return.

Pashupatinath Temple was a highlight of these final days. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it sits on the River Bagmati and is one of the most holy Hindu temples. We saw several cremations from the opposite river bank and the ritual was fascinating to say the least.

I’m afraid the holy men adorning the site didn’t invoke the same respect in me, but were entertaining nonetheless.
