If you thought the haystacks in Maramures were amazing, check out the haystacks in Bucovina! (day 7)

As I wrote earlier, I was fascinated by the shape of the haystacks in Maramures. But in Maramures those haystacks stayed put, at least in daylight hours! They didn’t wander around, like the haystacks in Bucovina, Romania. Check this one out:

Bucovina, Romania - Man moving hay
I think the guy thought we wouldn’t move! We did!

I’m not sure whether the matter of one day made the difference between haystacks staying put in Maramures and haystacks on the road in Bucovina, but we didn’t see them on the road in Maramures.

In Bucovina, this man wasn’t an isolated incident. They were everywhere!

He seemed to do a better job of staying to the side of the road than the previous guy

Generally speaking, I was taking pictures hanging out the window as we drove by. Generally the men smiled!

Sometimes the side of the road was more narrow than others

Probably a good idea

Oh No! What happened to their haystack?

Ok, I’ll quit now. You get the point.
