The Old and the New in Seoul, South Korea (video)

They talk about the 30 second view the tourist gets of the Mona Lisa in Paris – well, the picture above is our two seconds of photoshoot (after an extended wait) with the captain of the guard at Gyeongbokgung Palace. He looks much more photogenic than we do! But of course, he’s had a bit more practice.

Our total time in South Korea was eight days: four nights in Seoul, two nights on the east coast and a final night in Seoul before our flight home.

We had a fantastic tour with Korea Private Tours (aka Happimize), choosing the “Heritages of Korea” tour, with an added daytrip to the DMZ.

  1. Wow, What beautiful pictures. You both are have the time of your life. So much to learn, and know when you go to a country. I am so glad you had the chance to see everything. I am curious of the DMZ.
