We bought our plane tickets on Qatar Airways before the recent troubles popped up between Qatar and several other Middle East countries. So it was with some trepidation we paused our return to the USA from Thailand and visited Doha for three days. It was an excellent decision. We stayed at the Souq Waqif Boutique Hotel right opposite the medina. It was a fantastic location to enjoy walking in the market and eating out. It’s also very close to some great sights such as the Emir’s horses and the camel pen.
