It was a unique experience to see the temples with our guide Riyen. She was amazed that as a diabetic I could travel so far, and experience so much. She has relatives with type 2 diabetes who don’t get the same level of care as I receive in the US, and who don’t have access to technology. It was a unique experience to see so much through Riyen’s eyes.
